Navratri "Nine Night" is a famus Hindu festival celeberated in the autumn every year. It is observed for different reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Indian subcontinent. The festival is celebrated in the bright half of the Hindu calendar month Ashvin, which typically falls in the Gregorian months of September and October.
नवरात्र की हर रात्रि में मां दुर्गा के अलग-अलग स्वरूपों की पूजा की जाती है। पहले दिन मां शैलपुत्री, दूसरे दिन मां ब्रह्मचारिणी, तीसरे दिन मां चंद्रघंटा, चौथे दिन मां कूष्मांडा, पांचवें दिन मां स्कंदमाता, छठे दिन मां कात्यानी, सातवें दिन मां कालरात्रि, अष्टमी के दिन महागौरी और अंतिम दिन नवमी को मां सिद्धदात्री रूप को पूजने का विधान है।
